OWE SO MUCH TO SO MANY!!
Well, dear reader, the last days of the year are slipping away so quickly now.
We are so busy we’ve but little time to reflect but t’is time to take a few minutes and share my gratitude for the utter and absolute cornucopia of good fortune that continues to sprinkle almost magically over my life.
It IS a Season of Giving and I wanted y’all to know we’ve adopted threewonderful charities.
They are all worthy and I hope you’ll consider adding them to your list when your generosity engine whirs yet again.
1.) From Darkness to Light - Fighting Child Sexual Abuse (www.d2l.org)
2.) The Palmetto Project’s ‘Families Helping Families’ program- Tending to much needed holiday help for over 2,500 worthy and struggling families in Charleston and Columbia. www.palmettoproject.org/youth1.htm
3.) Operation Holidays' Adopt a Soldier program - Making sure that all our overseas servicemen and women are remembered and honored with morale-boosting gifts at this time of year. (www.operationholidays.com)
I readily acknowledge there is so much need out there in our nation and the world so let us all remember t’is better to light one single candle than curse the darkness. Hell, light more than a few!
Were it not for the wonderfully talented and thoughtful ladies who assist and guide me each day, I’m certain we’d not be able to support these worthy causes; I’m so grateful for them.
And too, were it not for so many other smart, helpful, patient and kind folks who persistently and consistently lend a hand to our efforts,I am also certain that we would come up short of the finish lines and I’m also grateful for them fromour always cheerful UPS driver George Jefferson to Sara Lustig, our brilliant nurse caseworker, from countless referring lawyers, co-counsel, surgeons, doctors, psychologists auto mechanics, human factors exzperts, pharmacists, toxicologists, medical illustrators, experts of all impeccable integrity and stunning intellect, from our website and I.T. helpers, to our repairman without peer, John Mundo, this little office is able to do and aspire to great things.
And Thank God for my family and friends who sustain me! They are my most beloved resources. I’m so grateful for them.
And Thank God for God!! Faith, Hope and Charity are indeed powerful and driving.
So, I’ll get back to whacking away at some pompous ass or sorry company when the new year comes.
But for now and for a little while, I’ll let a little peace settle in with the chilly nights and twinkling Christmas lights.
So, y’all listen for some quiet and count your many blessings as you do. Then, go ahead and share a little too.
God Bless You All REAL Good!! Merry Christmas!!
Your Humble Servant,
Vernon
