Committed to Community of Concern

Vernon has been chosen to become an organizing member of the Charleston partnership of the Washington based not-for-profit organization Community of Concern.  The Community of Concern is a partnership of parents, students, schools and other organizations that work together through education and information to keep youth free from chemical dependency.    Members in each community commit to education of parents through the C of C's publications, an interactive e-learning course called Online Parent's Guide and sponsoring events that feature professionals in the field of chemical dependency.  Participating schools in the Charleston area are Trident Academy, Porter Gaud, Charleston Day School, Mason Prep and Ashley Hall.
