Glenns named to UNC Parents Council

Vernon and Andrea Glenn have been appointed to the Executive Committee of the University of North Carolina's Parent Council.  Parent Council members represent all undergraduate parents in the Carolina Parents Association .   The council focuses on encouraging communication and interaction with the Univerity administration, faculty and students.  It collaborates with the Office of New Student and Carolina Parent Programs and the General Alumni Association.

The Parents Council is governed by an executive committee that oversees several standing committees and meets regularly to discuss parent concerns and presents these ideas and suggestions to the University administrators through the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.

Andrea and Vernon will serve a four-year term ads co-chairs for the class of 2009.  Their daughter Catherine, "C.C.", is a freshman and a recent graduate of Ashley Hall.  Vernon is a member of the UNC class of 1972
