Sports fan Chris Cook offered the winning bid for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! With a generous donation of $1100 , Chris will be taking his son to witness one of the most storied rivalries and arenas in the history of American college athletics. Sunday, March 4th, 2007, Chris will be watching what always proves to be a thriller of a basketball game between the University of North Carolina Tarheels and the Duke University Blue Devils. Chris says, “We’ll have the perfect day. We’ll even get to watch the number 1 ranked Heels play baseball!
The tickets, donated by local trial attorney Vernon Glenn were auctioned through ESPN 910/Kirkman Broadcasting on Bobby Hartin’s FanTalk. All proceeds from the auction benefit Darkness to Light. Darkness to Light, located in Charleston, is a nationally- recognized nonprofit organization devoted to prevention of child sexual abuse through education and awareness.

Mr. Glenn is a 1972 graduate of the University of North Carolina and a local “Ram Rep” for the UNC Rams Club. Since arriving in the lowcountry in 1986, his practice focus is representation in cases involving serious personal injury, wrongful death and insurance litigation.
