Furry Food Drive
With millions of Americans pinching pennies, sometimes it is the family pet that must be sacrificed for a family to survive. Shelters across the South Carolina lowcountry are feeling the effects of the the downturn in the economy. More and more families are trying desperately to keep every member of their family fed. For some that means giving up their own food to feed their pets. For others it means surrendering their pet to the shelter.
For that reason, the Law Office of Vernon Glenn is a drop off point for your donations of cat and dog food or treats. Saving gas money too, since we're shuttling the donations weekly up to the Charleston Animal Society in North Charleston. Actually youngest daughter Rosena is taking charge of this service project. She's also established a collection point at the Pitt Street Pharmacy in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant.
If you know of someone who is desperately trying to feed their pets, please have them contact the Charleston Animal Society for help. Distribution to qualified pet owners is on Saturdays from 10-2. Applications for assistance are available through the Charleston Animal Society's web site or by calling 747-4849 or on iste at their shelter at 2455 Remount Road in North Charleston.
Your kind donation helps to keep furry family members in their homes.
