Simply put, let me start with a qualified “maybe”- Maybe I’m your guy and maybe I’m not. After 37 years at this work, I fully recognize and appreciate that not every marriage of co-counsels works. So, like the dogs in the lot, there ought to be some pretty substantive sniffing going on before any comfort zone is met. I can tell you these things:I have enjoyed many, many co-counsel relationships over the years, almost all of them very successful. Elsewhere, you’ll find a listing of just some of the folks I worked with. I’m crazy about them all. Good People and Damn Fine Lawyers.
I believe that Two or More Heads are almost always better than one. I work and play well with others. I am no glory hog; I am results-oriented. To quote George Washington (almost always attributed incorrectly to Benjamin Franklin), “If no one cares who gets the credit, amazing things can be accomplished.”
I am top-rated. I am innovative and creative. I have great people helping me in our small office. I know the lay of the land. I have good instincts and am wonderfully intuitive (so I am told), I speak and present well, have a bold presence and communicate precisely. I relate to all walks of life with ease and happy comfort. I’m battle-tried and tested. I have great contacts in all sorts of fields. I’ve earned my reputation. And all that and just as important...
If I don’t make you laugh on a regular basis, I’ll be damned! (I also know where a lot of good restaurants are and I can really help you add to your books you’ll enjoying reading list.)
I find this work to be an honor and a privilege, and I am more grateful each day that I’ve been able to do what I’ve grown to love so very much. This is no grind to me.
